Inside the Benrus Type 1 watch is the common but reliable Swiss Made ETA 2681 automatic movement, running at 4 Hz with approximately two days of power reserve. To keep the movement clean and true to the original, the dial is a full-size dial without a date window.
The 2681 is a more compact mechanical movement that has been produced for several generations, but is not often found in many modern instrument watches. The case back of the watch has a military selection style wording, inspired by that on the original Benrus Type 1 watches issued to service professionals.
